On carrying out this activity, you will get to learn more about golden monkeys from your tour guides. you will also get to witness these beautiful creatures jumping around or eating their bamboo shoots, seasonal flowers, to mention but a few. unlike mountain gorillas and other primates, golden monkeys are quite unique in a very interesting way that they can stay in a place for a long period of time, golden monkeys do not fear or are not scared of people and they also happen to live in large numbers of about 100 monkeys in a group led by a superior. when it comes to photography, you will be as many times as possible amazed since the golden monkeys will Suprise you with all the photographic poses you want. golden monkeys love cameras as long as they do not have flashlights you will be able to take as many photos as you want with permission from your guide.
Day 1; Transfer to Maghinga National Park
Day 2; Golden Monkey Trekking
Day 3; Departure
On day one, you will be picked up from your hotel after having lunch and get transferred to Maghinga National Park. Maghinga National Park is approximately 9-hour drive away, along the way you will see different attractions which will keep your eyes occupied all the way. you will be able to see many different attractions like plantations, cattle grazing, people going their own way, birds flying around, to mention but a few. Lunch will be grabbed along the way and on arrival, you will check in at the lodge, have dinner, and rest up for the day.

Wake up in the morning for breakfast and head to the park headquarters in preparation for the golden monkey trekking activity. The golden monkey trekking activity takes approximately 30 minutes- 3 hours depending on the trekking pace or speed of the visitors or tourists. On locating a Golden Monkey family, you are given some time to spend in the presence of the monkeys capturing their photos, watching them play around, and watching them eat bamboo shoots, to mention but a few. From there you will head for lunch and later on proceed for a community visit (Batwa) to learn more about their culture, and history and interact with them. From the community visit, you will head back for dinner and rest up for the night.

After having breakfast in the morning, you will be transferred back to Entebbe International Airport for departure depending on what you want. Stopovers will be made along the way including the one for lunch.
