The 3days birding tour takes you to Uganda’s smallest National Park located in western Uganda shared by districts of Mbarara and Kiruhura covering an area of approximately 260sqkm and home to a variety of wildlife viewing opportunities that create an adventure of a lifetime during your stay in Uganda.

On this Day, meet our representative from Bujo Safaris for your 3 Day Birding tour in Lake Mburo National Park. Have a briefing from your guide about the tour and prepare to begin the journey. The Journey takes about 4 to 5 Hours with a stopover at the Uganda Equator for refreshments and a photo moment. En route to the park, check in to your accommodation for your stay in Lake Mburo National Park. You shall have a relaxed delicious lunch from the lodge with stunning views of the park and wildlife. In the evening, you shall head out for an evening game drive in the park that will give you chances to a variety of wildlife viewing opportunities including the 68 mammal species such as Impalas, Zebras, Giraffes, Buffaloes, Antelopes, Hippos, Leopards and other birds. Later, drive back to the lodge for dinner and relaxation from the long day.
Rise early in the morning, finish breakfast, carry your packed lunch, and prepare your gadgets to capture birding memories. Meet your driver and proceed to Rubanga forest where birding is done. The Forest is Uganda’s leading bird destination for birding safaris. As you navigate through the forest, you will have a variety of viewing opportunities for different species including Great blue turaco, Broad-billed roller, Lilac-breasted roller, Western tinkerbird, Yellow-fronted tinkerbird, Yellow-throated tinkerbird, Red-fronted barbet, Yellow-spotted barbet, White-headed barbet, Crested barbet, Blue-breasted bee-eater, Cinnamon-chested bee-eater, White-throated bee-eater, Blue-cheeked bee-eater, European bee-eater, European bee-eater, Black-billed turaco, Eastern plantain-eater, Long-tailed cormorant, Great egret, Intermediate eagle, Little egret, cattle egret, black stock, woolly necked stock, black-crowned night, Purple Heron, Long-toed lapwing, Senegal lapwing, green wood hoopoe, African pied hornbill, African grey hornbill, whited winged tit, Long-tailed cisticola, African cuckoo, brown snake eagle, Tawny eagle, booted eagle, Lizard Buzzard, Black kite, bat hawk, harrier hawk, bateleur, Senegal thick-knee, common scrimitarbill, diederik cuckoo, among others. Later, in the evening, head back to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful relaxation.
Have an early breakfast and check out of the lodge. Embark on a morning game drive with sunrise views from the lodge and have early spectacular views of the park and wildlife for about the next 3 hours. Later, Journey to Kampala / Entebbe International Park with a stopover at the Equator for lunch moment, and later proceed as you conclude your 3 Days at Uganda Birding Safari.
