It's time to take a wonderful vacation to Lake Mburo National Park, one of Uganda's whispers of enchantment. It is home to the country's highest concentration of antelope species, including Elands, which are the largest species in the Antelope family. The park is the closest to Uganda's capital, Kampala and is accessible by a picturesque three - to four hour journey.
From Kampala, Uganda's capital to Mbarara, the two-day encounter offers wealth of sights and sounds. A boat excursion on Lake Mburo and a game drive in the open savannah grassland will be included in your itinerary. The pick-up and drop-off locations are either Kampala or Entebbe international airport.
You will be briefed on the tour after a morning breakfast meal, followed by a rewarding three to four-hour journey to the western part of Uganda. You'll feed your eyes with verdant plantations, Ankole long-horned cows as they graze along the road and the undulating hills while you consider what an adventure awaits you. The equator is on this highway and you'll stop for photography before heading to the park for lunch.
Following lunch, you will spend the evening on a 3 hour boat trip, taking in the sights and sounds of aquatic birds such as water ducks and kingfishers, as well as hippos, crocodiles and other mammals such as elephants and waterbucks along the lakeside. You'll return to the lodge for refreshments, dinner and overnight after the boat cruise.
3-4 hours of game drive are allocated to epic wildlife viewing in the broad savannah grassland after breakfast buffet at the resort. Antelopes and grazers dot the park and you'll see them paraded, marveling at their visitors. Uganda Kobs, Zebras, Impalas, Oribis, Warthogs, African elephants, Cape Buffaloes and waterbucks are just a few examples.
After the game drive, return to the resort for some rest and lunch before departing back to Entebbe international airport/Kampala city.
End of safari.
