Encounter different wildlife and beautiful scenery during this 12 Days Uganda North-Western Circuit Safari. You will visit Murchison falls national park, Kidepo valley National Park and others attractions like Sipi falls, Mabira forest, source of the Nile and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
Take part in nature walks, game drives, boat cruises, city tours, rhino trekking and hiking adventures. While on the way, encounter the roadside markets, Karamojong homesteads and so much more. During this tour, you will discover wildlife and culture including the big five animals.

Arrive at the airport and transfer to a hotel after meeting the driver guide mentioned and booked earlier. The driver-guide will tell you about the activities you will engage in during this safari through the briefing point. You will head to the hotel with the option of taking a visit to Uganda Reptile Village.
Have breakfast and then transfer to Murchison falls national park the largest conservation area in Uganda with a stopover at the Uganda Rhino sanctuary, the only place where you can take the visit of the rhinos in this country.
In 2005, rhinos were re-introduced in Uganda and this is the only place where you can find them. Trekking can take about 2 to 3 hours on foot and after you will proceed to your destination. This will be the start of your 12 Days Uganda North-Western Circuit safari of exploring and adventuring.
Head to Budongo forest just adjacent to the Murchison falls national park and here, you will join other visitors for briefing and distribution into different groups. The briefing is about the lifespan of chimps, dos, and don'ts to follow while in the forest, behaviors of Chimpanzees among others. The park ranger guide will take you through the forest to start the search but you will meet other primates like the vervet monkeys, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys among other and different bird species.
After a great one hour in the presence of these chimps, find your way out of the forest and later you will visit the top of Murchison falls. While here, witness the rainbow that is formed when powerful water squeezes itself in a narrow point.
Take a morning game drive with the option of taking a balloon safari in the park premises. You will encounter different animals such as lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, giraffes, oribis, warthogs, hippos on the hippo pool as you take a break and different antelopes.
You will encounter birds like lovebirds, ibis and ground hornbills. The boat cruise will be the next adventure which will take on the Albert Nile and while here, you will encounter Nile crocodiles, hippos, and different birds. This will reward you with the best views of Murchison falls from the bottom.
Have a short game drive as you find your way to Kidepo Valley National park - a true African wildness in north eastern Uganda. It is located at the border of Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan, known as a home to the largest herds of buffalos in Africa, ostriches in Uganda and the beautiful untouched scenery.
Animals that will be spotted while in this park include; elephants, buffalos, antelopes like Jackson hartebeests, bushbucks, zebras, warthogs, warthogs, lions, leopards among others. You will arrive and check at your lodge late in the evening.
Take an early morning game drive where you will be able to spot different wild animals; ranging from lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, large herds of buffalo, warthogs and jackals. Kidepo is also home to the Somali Ostrich, ibis, and ground hornbill among others. The beautiful untouched landscape also offers incredible panoramic views.
After lunch, you will visit Karamojong homesteads, the Manyattas where you will learn about their ways of life, such as dressing code, music dance and drama and traditional meals. The day will end with a game drive as you head back to your lodge.
Leave Kidepo Valley National Park after a morning game drive to search for more wildlife that you would have missed the previous day. You will after embark on a journey to Lira taking about 5 to 6 hours where you will spend a night.
You will head to Sipi in Kapchorwa District near Mount Elgon and have a stopover at Nyero Rock paintings in Kumi District where you will be able to learn about the ancient people that inhabited this place.
These are rock paintings of a long time which give attractive views / scenery and categorized among the most important rock arts in Uganda. Learn about the six shelters of the rock and this will greatly provide untouched history and culture. Proceed and spend a night at the resort overlooking Sipi falls.
Engage in a great adventure of entangling the Sipi falls involving a visit toall the 3 different falls on a hike. The hike will begin as you pass through Bagishuhomesteads, exploring the Arabic coffee which is a main cash crop grown here and then proceed with a hike while learning about the falls.
The hike takes about 3 to 4 hours depending on the speed and fitness of the group. You can take the options of abseiling and rock climbing as well.
Explore the beautiful adventure Jinja town where you will get involved in different activities like boat cruise to the source of R. Nile while spotting different vegetation types, birds and fishermen. You may also take on budge jumping adventure, white water rafting or tubing on the Nile.
Have breakfast and start your journey to Kampala which will include different stopovers like the one at Namawojolo Roadside market totaste the roasted bananas (plantains), goats’ meat, and chicken among others.
Another stopover will be in Mabira forest where you will take a short nature walk to visit Griffin falls and the option of taking a zip lining adventure. While on this walk, you will encounter different primates like the vervet monkeys, olive baboons, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys and countless bird species.
Proceed and have another stopover at Sezibwa falls for lunch to learn more about these historical falls that present historical significance to the Baganda people. Continue and you will spend a night in Kampala city with an option of staying at a hotel or enjoying the nightlife.
Visit different attractions such as the Uganda museum, religious sites like Namugongo martyrs shrine, Rubaga cathedral, Gadhafi mosque, Baha’i temple among others. You will then head to the airport after lunch and this will be the end of your tour.
