This adventure-filled 7-day Rwanda and Congo Gorilla Tour is going to start and end in Rwanda Kigali International Airport.
Day 1; Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be picked up by our company driver and transferred to Volcanoes National Park where you will check-in, freshen up relax a bit. Have dinner and rest up for the day.

Wake up in the morning for breakfast after which you will get transferred to the park headquarters. For briefing, getting allocated to a trekking group, guide, and trekking trails leading to a gorilla family. After all that is done, you start with the trekking looking for mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Mountain gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park takes about 2-7 hours of searching. During this time, you will be given a lunch break to have your packed lunch. When you approach a gorilla family, you will be given not more than an hour to spend in the presence of these endangered species. From there you will go for a community visit then head back to the lodge for dinner and a sleepover.

After having breakfast, you will be transferred to Kahuzi Biega National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Approaching the Cyangugu border, you will visit the king ‘s palace, and the national museum, have scenic views and photography at Lake Kivu, and then proceed to Congo. Reaching the park, you will check in have dinner, and call it a day.

Wake up in the morning for breakfast, and get transferred to the park headquarters for briefing, getting allocated to a trekking group, guide, and trekking trail. After that, you will start with the trekking looking for the lowland gorillas in their natural habitat. Lowland gorilla trekking takes about 6-7 hours of searching, during this time you will get a snack, water, and a lunch break to eat your packed lunch. After encountering a gorilla family, you will be given not more than an hour to spend in the presence of these very endangered species. From there you will head out for a community visit near the national park.

To spice up your tour, you will wake up for breakfast and get transferred to Lwiro Sanctuary Conservation home to many refuge chimpanzees and other primates rescued from poachers. You will spend some time watching these very interesting primates. From there you will grab a quick lunch and head for an optional evening birding activity where you will get to watch beautiful different bird species coming back home. After all that you will head back to the lodge check out and transfer back to the lodge check out and transfer to Rwanda. Where you will check in at a hotel on reaching have dinner and call it a day.

On day 6 of your trip, you will wake up for breakfast with scenic views of the hills and head for a whole-day Kigali city tour which will be conducted by a professional tour guide whom you must listen to and respect all the time. You will get to visit different markets, galleries, and cultural villages, to mention but a few. Lunch will be grabbed from one of the city restaurants, after a full-day city tour, you will head back to the hotel for dinner and rest up
