Overview

Detailed itinerary
The assigned driver-guide will meet you at either airport or hotel in Kigali and he will take you to Democratic Republic of Congo through the Rusizi border. You will enjoy nature from Kigali city, dotted with covered with rolling hills through the journey seems to be longer. You again pass through the Nyungwe forest which has different primates and you have high chances of meeting them along the way. You will then head to Bukavu town where you will spend a night.
This day will begin with breakfast and then head to park offices for registration and briefing, what to follow, what to expect and the history of the park. Be assigned with the park ranger that will take you around the forest as you search for these endangered species. Remember, finding a gorilla family can take up to 7 hours but once you locate them, you will be allocated an hour that will be a loving and memorable moment of your lifetime.
Meet other mammals, primates, lush flora birds that roam the foothills of Mount Kahuzi and Biega. You will later on head back to your lodge in Bukavu for lunch with an optional activity of visiting the nearby local communities.
Have leisurely breakfast and then find your way back to Kigali city in Rwanda. The driver-guide will make short stopovers to make the transfer more enjoyable like a visit to the Nyanza King’s palace, Butare ethnographic museum and you will be dropped at the airport in Kigali, marking the end of your three days gorilla tour.
